First United Methodist Church is committed to providing quality faith development opportunities serving children and their families. We are a Safe Sanctuaries church which means that all of our paid and volunteer adults working with children have passed a stringent background screening. Also, we have specific measures in place to ensure that all children are safe while on the church campus. For more information

Other Opportunities

Tuesday Night Food and Faith
Throughout the year, different multi-week classes are offered for children on Tuesday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Beginning with a light supper, these programs include Bible study, mission projects, arts & crafts, science, and drama.

Messy Church
First Saturdays (beginning January 2018), 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Once a month, families are invited to gather for a unique, interactive, hands-on church experience. Families will eat dinner, learn, play, and grow together in faith.

Giving and Service
Each Lent, children provide support for Heifer International and learn the importance of serving and reaching out to others.

Summer Vacation Bible School
For a week each summer, three year olds through 6th graders gather for joyful learning about God’s love for them and the world. Staffed with youth and adult leaders, this popular ministry is open to children from the church and the wider community.

Outdoor Camps
In winter, the Children’s Ministry team schedules a weekend camp for children in grades 1-6 and their families at Camp Sky Meadows in the San Bernardino Mountains. Other all-church camps are held through the year.
