First time here?
We can't wait to show you around!

Visiting a new church can be intimidating, especially a grand gothic church like ours. But there's no need to worry. We have a friendly, loving community that can't wait to show you around.

If you’re single or married, young or old, have a large family or live alone, we want you to experience the warmth, fellowship, joy, and support that so many others have felt here at First United Methodist Church. Each person here becomes part of the community, and we welcome you with open arms. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a new church home or you’ve never attended a worship service in your life, we invite you to join us and look forward to meeting you!

When you visit First UMC, a member of our Hospitality Team will be at the entrance to greet you and answer any questions you may have. After service, join us in Fellowship Hall for coffee, conversation, and to get to know our many ministries here.

Ministries

Worship is at the heart of our community. We worship in ways that are both ancient and modern, steeped in age old traditions and evolving even as our faith evolves. We worship in person in our beautiful sanctuary at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings, or via livestream any time.
Our beautiful gothic-style church on Colorado Blvd. was completed in 1924. Architectural highlights and special features include the Rose Window within our Sanctuary, A Tiffany window in the chapel, and our beautiful E.M. Skinner Pipe Organ.
We have lots of ministries, small groups, and activities on both religious and non-religious topics. If you're looking for a place for children and youth to grow and learn, a place to fellowship with like-minded adults, a place to engage in musical expression, or a place to get involved in community and social justice, that place is right here.

Learn About our Stained Glass Windows

One of the hallmarks of our church is our wonderful stained glass windows! Each window tells a part of the story of the life of Jesus. Santiago Alvarez, Rev. Dr. Thomas Brunkow, and Kendall In have gathered images and information on our windows into a booklet for further study. You can access the booklet at the button below, or click the image to the right.
