This is Our Story. This is Our Song.
Over the next few weeks, we are asking each person who shares in the ministry of First UMC to thoughtfully and prayerfully consider how you will support the church in 2024. Each year, we engage in a season of reflection on our commitment to our shared ministries and our financial stewardship. On November 19, as we celebrate a Service of Thanksgiving, you will be invited to offer your “Estimate of Giving” cards (or pledges) for the coming year. If you are a regular supporter, I want to encourage you to consider increasing the amount of your gift in order to keep the ministry of FUMC growing strong in this next year. If you have never pledged or given before, I want to invite you to consider taking the next step in your faith journey and partner with the church by becoming a regular financial contributor.
The words of the hymn “Blessed Assurance” have been running through my head lately: “This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior, all the day long.” Indeed, as this church enters its’ 100th anniversary of this campus, our story has always been grounded and guided by praise and thanksgiving. I am so grateful to join my story with the ongoing story of this great congregation.
In love, joy and gratitude for the ministries we share,
